"I was saddened to learn of Cheryl’s passing. Cheryl will always be remembered for her caring, compassionare and friendly demeanour. What a homemaker she was and one who cherished family values.! I first met Cheryl at the a bank of Nova Scotia in Toronto where we both worked - she being my Supervisor. I have pleasant memories of Cheryl, one which always stands out is the time she took to teach me some of her baking skills and shared her recipes with me. To Greg and family, I am truly sorry for your loss. If it is any consolation to you, reflect on the beautiful memories she has left behind and it will bring you peace and comfort. May she Rest In Peace forever."

"Words can never be sufficient to express the loss of our dearest aunty Cheryl. Rather than reflect on her passing, I would rather give thanks for her life and her presence in my life. She was my beloved god mother and aunt. In my early life, aunty Cheryl played a pivotal role as as she helped raise, care and nurture me. As an adult, my aunt continued to share that loving tenderness and care to my children. Although we lived in different countries, our love for each other continued. You were and will always be in our hearts aunty Cheryl. We were blessed to have you in our lives. Your memory will forever stay with us and we shall never forget the bright light and figure which embodied love, principles, caring and family. may you Rest In Peace. We love you forever. Sharon, Patrick, Michael, Pascal and Gabrielle"

"A Cherished Aunt who always found joy in everyone's happiness. Aunty Cheryl has touched all of our lives deeply. Though you have left us in this bodily world, your spirit lives and you remain with us ever present in our hearts. Uncle Greg, Nicole, Chris and Mark, you are her loving angels, being with her until her last breath. The days ahead will not be easy but you should take comfort that Aunty Cheryl is in a better place now, free of all ailments.
May the holy father accept her into his loving embrace and may she find eternal peace"

"From Justin (part1)
Saying farewell to Aunty Cheryl is difficult.
My Aunt was present for many milestones in my life. As I arrived in this world, she dropped everything and travelled into a UK winter to help Mom. Obviously, I was too young to remember any of this but I've seen pictures in Aunty Cheryl wielding me around in a stroller. I've been told stories that she was readily mistaken as my mother and that always makes me smile. She indeed loved me as her son. As a child, she took me on frequent excursions to Guyana Stores and fogarties. Visits to cafeteria which served up what I remember as most delicious cheese pies and milk shakes were a must on these jaunts. I recall that on one of these trips, she defended me tooth and nail from a would-be choke and robber who tried desperately to remove my ID band which was the only piece of jewellery I would wear. We arrived home band too, and she more concerned about my bleeding wrist than her own injuries from that encounter.
Birthday parties were always memorable events because she made them so. Decorations and catering were Aunty Cheryl. I can remember channa cones and cheese straws being features on the menu. On at least one of those occasions, Uncle Brian played the part of Santa Claus. Our neighbors were like family and those parties were filled with kids from the neighborhood. Aunty Cheryl loved caring for children and her affection extended well beyond our immediate family. Like Gran who inherited many grandchildren, she was Aunty Cheryl to all of these kids."
