To the entire Carpenter Family.
David was one of a kind. The most kind and sincerest person I ever knew growing up. I first met David in 1975. From our days playing against each other in little league. To the Babe Ruth team we played on in 1980. David was a great baseball player and his competitive spirit was his gift to motivate everyone on the team. I have never forgotten the summer of 1980 we hung out down in Hull at the Coopers after our winning season and David made all of us laugh with his great personality and easy going nature. I don't believe David ever had an enemy in his life. I always appreciated seeing him at the Spa over the years and to get his hello and trademark smile and laugh. And let's be honest, he made the best pizza at the spa ever ! Quite honestly, the world is a little less pleasant now without him on this earth.
My sincerest condolences to his mother Mrs. Cave, his beloved daughters, Hannah and Cailee, Jeff and the rest of his entire family and friends and all who knew him.
Sincerely
Billy Statkiewicz

Bev, Jeff, Michael and family......my sincere and deepest sympathies on the loss of David. He will forever be remembered by me endearingly as "Carpy" as my most fondest memories will always be as kids, whether it was watching him pitch with Michael on the Angels or going on a family adventure to one of the amusement parks with my dad. As a teen, working with him at the Spa for all those years, handing me pizza after pizza with the biggest smile through the window as I called out names in the take out. He always made the shift that much more fun. Your family was like a second family to me in those years, and you will always have a very special place in my heart. I am certain he and Michael are having a big catch and smiling down on all of us. Much love to you all and again, I am so very sorry for your loss.

Bob, Neil, Colleen and I are saddened by David's passing. He was a true friend. Bob and I went to a Yankees vs. Red Sox game with David in the Spa seats. David went down to the wall and yelled to Derek Jeeter. Derek came right over and spent five minutes talking to David. They shook hands and David came back to our seats. I asked him what they talked about. David looked at me and said "Kath, I have no idea!" He was so happy to be talking with him, he couldn't remember the conversation! We all had a good laugh. That is the smile we are going to remember!
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of David's family. We share your loss, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Hannah and family...there are no words... From the Bulger family to yours - your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Your family and friends will be there for you. David was a kind soul and always had a smile. I still remember the day he walked into my classroom for parent teacher conferences - during which we talked about our friendship since when we were in high school...we laughed at that for years. Sending you love and prayers during this difficult time.
