Catherine L. (Green) Darling, 78, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth on Sunday, October 1, 2017. She was the wife of the late Norman J. Darling. Daughter of the late Leo and Lillian (Todd) Green, she was born and raised in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1957. Cathy resided in Easton for 15 years before returning to Stoughton. She worked in the accounts payable department at Factory Mutual in Norwood for 30 years before retiring in 2003. She was an avid Red Sox fan and her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Cathy is survived by her sons, Michael A. Darling and his wife Pamela of Brockton and Steven C. Darling and his wife Kelly of Milton. She was the stepmother of Thomas Darling and his wife Becky of E. Falmouth. She was the sister of Marguerite Anagnoston of Stoughton, Rosemarie Atkinson of Brockton and the late Joseph Green, Winifred Stewart, Edith Lowell, Leo R. Green, Jr. and Beatrice Fay. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Cathy's memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.

She was always there when ever she was needed. She loved nothing more than to be around family. I am so grateful I was able to call this amazing woman MY AUNT.
