Harry Minassian, 96, the retired owner of Westgate Lanes, died Sunday, September 23, 2018 in Stoughton after a period of declining health. He was the longtime companion of 49 years of Patricia L. Mr. Minassian was the owner of Westgate Lanes and Harry's Westgate Pub in Brockton for over 59 years. He loved his work, his customers and the daily interactions with them. He retired 1 year ago. Over the years, Mr. Minassian was the owner of several Thoroughbred horses that raced at tracks on the east coast, including Monmouth, Gulfstream and Saratoga. His most successful horse was Klassy Briefcase who raced in England. He was the former President of the Horseman's Benevolent Protection Association. Harry was an avid photographer and the "Master of the Disposable Camera" who believed even the small things in life should be celebrated. A fan of the Boston Sports teams, in his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
