I met Sue at the VA when I started there 32 years ago. She hired me as a file clerk and when the opportunity came for me to go to Massasoit, she pushed me and persuaded me to go. Sue was my mentor throughout my whole program! Without her i would have been lost. I have her to thank for me going in to my wonderful career. She was always there to lend a helping hand and or a listening ear. Always shared stories of her family and loved to hear about ours. I miss you Sue and ;I am glad you are now back with Henry and your dear mother. May you Rest In Peace and know you will never be forgotten. My prayers go out to her family at this time.

Danny, I just found out about your Mom. I'm very sorry for your loss. She was a great Mom to you and your brothers, and now she is with your Dad again. It saddens me that I can't be there with you. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Carol, Sara, Eleanor and the rest of the family. May she rest in peace.

Aunt Sue was the funniest, most gracious, and open minded person I have ever met. She accepted everyone for who they were, and made them feel like they were instantly part of the family. Her stories were epic in their hilarity, and when she was around her sisters (the other two "witches of Eastwick"), the laughter could be heard for miles.

My mother, Elizabeth, cherished her phone conversations with her sister. Even with her aphasia/Alzheimer's, my mom was still able to find a way to communicate (often without words) over the phone with the sister she idolized and loved. Losing her sister is a significant hurt, but my mother has some solace in knowing that she and Sue were able to say their face-to-face goodbyes to each other last year when Elizabeth made the trip "home" to visit.

Our love and condolences go to Phillip, Danny, Matthew, and all the wives and kids who knew Aunt Sue as "Ma" and "Grammy." May you find peace in knowing that she has joined Henry, her mother, her younger sister, and older brother in from disease, pain, and affliction. May she rest in peace.
