Condolence & Memory Journal
Carol, I am so sorry for your loss. I have great memories of Bob during the Stoughton Grenadiers. He was so tall and handsome in that uniform. We sure did have a lot of laughs during the bicentennial and the many bus trips. He was also my oral surgeon, such a kind, gentle man. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We will miss you dearly Uncle Bo. We loved listening to your stories through the years. Thank you for sharing in the excitement of our engagement while vacationing with you on Martha's Vineyard. Hard to believe that was over 25 years ago. Please guide over us as we know you are in the kingdom of God. Until we meet again we wish you peace.
All our love,
BEATS

I had the pleasure of working with him in his role as a consultant to our department at Blue Cross (before Blue Shield came on board). As a nurse reviewer, my role was to present cases to him for procedures that needed MD approval. His gentle demeanor and great good humor endeared him to all us nurses, and he always treated us as colleagues and equals. That was over 40 years ago, but I still remember him with fondness. I am so sorry for your loss.

Carol, I worked with Bob & Dr. Petros. He was kind and respectful to everyone who came into the office and it was a pleasure to be working alongside of him. I still remember the Christmas party that you hosted at your home. What a lovely evening it was. Many years have gone by, but I fondly remember you both. My sincerest sympathy to you & the family on his passing. May God grant you peace, comfort and the joy of many wonderful memories.

Heartfelt condolences to Carol, Joan and families. I fondly remember youthful Bob and his family in Jamaica Plain as outstanding neighbors, and Bob as a upstanding friend and schoolmate. Though separated by many years and a thousand miles, we will join in your prayers as you celebrate his life and safe passage into eternal presence with the Lord.

When I think of Uncle Bob, I remember all the August birthday celebrations we shared on Cape Cod for my granddad, Jim McGrath. Uncle Bob and Auntie Carol always made sure they had the most delicious chocolate cake with whipped frosting and cherries on top. Uncle Bob loved Auntie Helen and Jim (McGrath) and thus I loved Uncle Bob too. His smile was always so contagious and genuine. I am sure he is sharing a cocktail with Auntie Irene and the McGrath family in heaven!

I met him while I was a student at Brockton Hospital School of Nursing. In a world of hurried and sometimes less than pleasant physicians he was a source of calm friendly relief. He loved to take time to show us exactly what he was doing during his surgical day. He knew my father and always mentioned him. Some years later he removed my wisdom teeth with the same confident demeanor. I wish the world was filled with people like him. I hope his soul lives forever. His bright light will always shine within me.
