Mr. Silva,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army during WW II fighting the Germans in Europe in 1944-45-especially at Remagen in March of 1945 where the U.S. Army got the only intact bridge over the Rhine River. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

George Silva was my godfather and uncle whom which I highly respected and looked up to as a role model. I have not seen George in many years however his affect on me has been great and lasting.
