I met Johnny as a truck driver for Simeone in 1980. I never knew that would be the beginning of a lasting friendship. I enjoyed talking with you about the good old days John. Your days of hard work are over and it's now time to share smiles with Esther again. Thank you for the fond memories and most of all, your friendship. Rest In Peace my friend you will always be in my thoughts. Tell Patsy I said hello.

Dear Uncle John in the Army, I miss him already. I was so lucky to be a part of his life these past few years. John loved his family so much, and all of his nieces and nephews loved him in return. I was one of Johns poker buddies. We played every Thursday at Aunt Frans, and had so much fun together. We shared many meals at Frans, of course, and shared lots of family stories. Growing up I had so many Aunts and Uncles, and a couple of Uncle Johns, and this uncle John was in the army when I first met him. I am thinking my dad said to me that this was the Uncle John in the Army. So, to my little ears this became uncle john in the Army. And he has been Uncle John in the Army for the last 66 years of my life. John was a wonderful caring husband. AS much as I will miss John, I know his sister Fran will miss him every day of her life. He was her big brother, and she was his little sister. Every morning John would show up at Frans, bright and early, and they would play games on her computer, and then decided which stores to shop in that day. There are no words to explain the loss all of us will feel with the loss of this wonderful man. Goodbye Uncle John in the Army, I love you so much.
