Elizabeth L. (Madan) Chaplain, 72, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Friday June 12th 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of 47 years of David F. Elizabeth was a licensed practical nurse at Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton for 38 years and Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton for 2 years specializing in new born nursery care before her retirement. Son Arthur stated she was responsible for saving so many critically ill new born babies in her 40-year career. She was a member of 4H club for several years and enjoyed in her spare time crocheting, gardening, knitting, camping and canning but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Daughter Marcy stated there is so much that can be said about my Mom, that there isn't enough space to list it all, she was an amazing mom that taught us so many things.

In addition to her husband, Elizabeth is survived by her children, Craig D. Chaplain and his wife Brenda of East Bridgewater, Marcy R. Maloney and her husband Kevin of Terry, MS and Arthur C. Chaplain and his wife Kelly of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Kelsey, Colin, David, Mae and Bobby.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Oh mom... I can't believe it was a year yesterday since you've passed. The pain is insurmountable...could it be possible to be more painful now than it was a year ago?? Daddy's here in the sip with us...we just got home Thursday! He'll be staying for a while this time...I hope you can see us all.... I love you more than my heart could express....
