Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Douglas by adding your memories and photos.

Douglas Thomas Zeolla, 37, passed away on July 9, 2020 after a battle with addiction. He was the beloved son of Douglas Vincent Zeolla of FL and Diane Gallagher of Stoughton. Born in Boston, he was raised in Jamaica Plain, Roslindale and Hyde Park before moving to Stoughton as a teenager. He was a graduate of Stoughton Schools and also attended Massasoit Community College. He was dedicated to his work and had a successful business alongside his brother, Zeolla Plumbing & Heating, that he loved working for. Doug especially enjoyed the outdoors and nature. Hiking and fishing were just a few of his favorite hobbies and he was an avid sports fan. Most of all, in his free time, he adored spending time with his son and his family, and was a dedicated and extremely devoted father. Douglas will be greatly missed by those he touched in his life.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his cherished son Douglas T. Zeolla Jr. of Stoughton, his brother Derek A. Zeolla and his sister Brittany N. Zeolla, both of Stoughton. Douglas is also survived by his cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, July 13 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass will be private. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton, MA. Masks and social distancing required at funeral home. Donations in Doug's name may be made to Evan G. Foundation 'No First Time' P.O. Dear Doug ( Father ) I have not seen you in years however remember our hanging out fondly. I am so so sorry to hear of the loss of your Son. I hate it for you. The loss of a Child is the worst pay ever. There is nothing that can be done or said that will help with the pain.... but after a very long time it will get a little easier. God keep you in your family wrapped in Love at this time?

I did not know you Doug but I know your Dad. I am so sorry for your family's loss. Drugs were a big part of my son's life for over 16 years. I was very lucky that when I was having a breakdown he finally found something deep down to give him the strength to quit. Clean for 2 years does not mean he could not end up on it again. I am so sorry you lost your battle. God will take you into his arms and you will be wonderful and watch over your son and family and they will be with you again someday.
