Gene was our neighbor in Section 18 row 2 at Fenway Park. I looked up to him as a medical professional,
as I was starting my career at JNJ. He was always nice and jovial. I looked forward to seeing him and his sons Ken and David. He set a great example of a being a terrific father and positive person. Best wishes, David Engwall

So sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. Many nights at Fenway sitting beside him Ken and David talking baseball was a thrill. Knowing that if I didn’t know the answer to a baseball question I could ask Gene or one of the boys was all you could ask for. A special person sitting in a special place will always be part of our lives.
Miss that but grateful we had it.

Kenny, David & Chris: I was heartbroken when I heard the news of your Dad's passing. My memories of the many weekends crashing at your parents' house in West Dennis during college are etched in my mind. The warmth and kindness both your Mom & Dad showed me made me feel almost a part of your family. While these coming days will be tough, I hope that, in time, you will gain some perspective and realize how amazing your Mom & Dad really were. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I work in the Covid capital of the northeast (Newark, NJ), I cannot attend either Gene's wake or the funeral Mass but please know that Cathy and I are thinking of you and your families. God bless.

Kenny, David and Christine, my heart goes out to all the family. You three and your children were blessed with your wonderful father and mother. David and I had such great times with your parents and I will never forget them as I will never forget Gene and Kay.

Mr. Fogarty,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USAF during the Cold War. Millions of Americans slept safe at night because you and your fellow Servicemen stood ready to defend our Country. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
