We were co-workers for thirty years and friends for over fifty. We had two favorite past times. Arguing ideas and politics, and trying to stick one another with a restaurant bill. Ellen, just heard about Al's passing. So sorry to hear it and remember the good times we had at the blues festivals in Maine and back in MA too. Both Fran and I send our thoughts and prayers to you and the entire family.

Kellie, "heartbroken" doesn't even begin to describe how I feel for you at this most difficult time. You're Dad was such a nice, sweet man. I remember seeing him working on projects in your house years ago. Sending love and hugs. Condolences to you and your entire family.

Alan and I grew up together in Hyde Park and I was always fond of him. We haven't seen each other in years. We used to run into each other at State Democratic conventions bu that is way in the past.
I always respected Al. He was a good man.
