Michael K. Kelley, 69, a longtime resident of Easton, died peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer. He was the husband of Celia H. (Brown) Kelley for the past 24 years. Son of Marjorie L. "Midge" (Pittsavage) Kelley of Stoughton and the late James R. "Brud" Kelley, he was born in Brockton and raised in Stoughton. Michael was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1969 and attended Northeastern University. He resided in Easton for the past 30 years. Michael was a car salesman at Huggard & Ewing in Stoughton for several years before working at B & W Motors in West Bridgewater for 10 years until his retirement 10 years ago. He was a member of the Chelsea Fish & Game in Chelsea, VT and loved hunting, archery and knife collecting but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter Lily.

In addition to his wife and mother, Michael is survived by his daughters, Christine M. Kelley and her longtime companion David Smith of Panama City Beach, FL and Lisa J. Sparks and her husband Ron of Phenix City, AL as well as his granddaughter, Lily Sparks. Condolence & Memory Journal

Our deepest sympathies to Celia and the whole Kelley family. As I thought about what to write here the text got longer and longer with each passing day. Today I received a note from my cousin's widow Úna. Patrick passed away very suddenly while working on his farm in County Clare, Ireland just about a year ago. I thought words were quite moving and am only switching the name.

"Michael Kevin Kelley - Rest in Peace - May you rest in peace, dear Michael,in that heavenly home above, with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in His own eternal love. No one knew that morning, What sorrow the day would bring, When a heart of gold stopped beating and we could not do a thing. It isn't what we write or even what we say, It's how we feel inside, As we think of you today, You left us precious memories, that make us laugh and cry, but the love you planted in our hearts, No millionaire can buy. You are not just a memory or part of the past, you are ours to remember as long as life lasts.

Uncle Mike was a strong gentle man .
He gave the best hugs his laughter was contagious & smile that's unforgettable. He had a beautiful singing voice and a gift to tell a story . When he would tell a story no matter how many people were in the room it was as if you were the only one in the room . One of his many genuine quality's was always making everyone feel important & safe . There lots of reasons to love my Uncle Mike one of the reason I love most is how much he loved my Aunt Celia. There really are beautiful love stories and there's is on of them .

So very sad to hear of my dear friend Mike's passing. He was like a brother to me and we could always make each other smile and laugh. He loved his family so very much --- and Celia was such a godsend for him. The big guy had just as big of a heart. My mother adored Mike and that always meant a real lot to me. I wish the sincerest sympathy to the entire Kelley family. Rest in Peace my dear friend. I will miss you.
