Tribute & Message From The Family

Joseph A. Faria age 68, passed away at Good Samaritan on January 6, 2021. He was born in the Faial, Azores, Portugal to the late Alberto Faria Jr. and the late Rosa (Vargas) Faria. He came to Stoughton in 1960 with his family where he lived out his life. He was the beloved husband to the late Ann Marie (Coy) Faria whom he loved dearly. He attended Southeastern Regional and was a graduate of the class of 1972. He was a truck driver with the Stoughton DPW for over 25 years and retired in 2018. Joe was also a retired Stoughton Auxiliary Police Officer and was a Stoughton Constable even after retirement. He loved riding his motorcycle in his spare time, and especially enjoyed his Keno at Jimmy's Market in Stoughton, where he made friends with the owner and lots of Stoughton residents. Every morning you could find Joe enjoying breakfast at the Corner Cafe in Stoughton. Joe was famous for his favorite breakfast meal which gave him the infamous nickname "Joe Burrito"

Joseph was the brother to the late Olga Gomes (Faria) of California, loving father of Chelsea R. Faria and her fiancé Brandon Filippini of Avon and the late Nicole D. Faria. He was the adoring grandfather to Reagan Filippini who he absolutely loved and enjoyed spending all his free time with. He was also the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. His family was very important to him and he would do anything for those he loved.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Joe.
